Fannin County Electric Cooperative has contracted with RMA Engineering, LLC (RMA Engineering) to perform utility pole safety inspection and maintenance services within our service territory.  RMA Engineering crews will be working in the area to evaluate the condition of Fannin County Electric Cooperative‐owned poles and to perform any necessary maintenance.  We ask that you allow RMA Engineering personnel access to all Fannin County Electric Cooperative facilities that are located within the utility easement that is on or adjacent to your property.  Once on‐site, the inspection process takes approximately 10‐30 minutes per pole but can occasionally extend up to two hours when extensive maintenance activities are required. We apologize for any inconvenience this important process may cause.  You may acquire more information about the RMA Engineering by visiting their website at www.rmaengineer.com. If you have any additional questions, please contact RMA Engineering at 785‐262‐4762. To view a map of the areas to be inspected this year, Click Here.

“On January 13, 2022, the Board of Directors of Fannin County Electric Cooperative, INC., along with the Boards of the other Member cooperatives of Rayburn Country Electric Cooperative, Inc. (“Rayburn Electric”) and of Rayburn Electric, adopted a financing order pursuant to Subchapter D of Chapter 41 of the Texas Utilities Code, §§ 41.151 - 41.163, that authorizes Fannin County Electric Cooperative, INC. to utilize securitization financing to recover certain Winter Storm Uri wholesale power-related costs.  We expect the financing to close by the end of February, 2022.  This financing will enable Fannin County Electric Cooperative, INC. to spread the extraordinary costs and expenses related to Winter Storm Uri over an extended period of time and keep our monthly bills to you as low as possible.  The additional charges to cover these costs and expenses will be irrevocable, will be adjusted from month-to-month to pay the related bonds, and will be included on your monthly bills starting in or about February, 2022.”
